- Install the pressure relief valve in the intake manifold.
- Install the pressure relief valve bolts.
- Install the throttle body adapter heater plate with a NEW seal to the intake manifold.
- Install the throttle body adapter heater plate bolt and studs.
- Install the purge solenoid.
- Install the purge solenoid bolt.
- Press the MAP sensor in place at the top of the throttle body mounting location.
- Install the throttle body heater hoses to the throttle body adapter heater plate.
- Install the brake booster vacuum hose (1).
- Install a NEW throttle body gasket on the throttle body.
- Place the throttle body and a NEW gasket in position on the intake manifold.
- Install the throttle body nuts.
- Install the accelerator cable bracket and bolt.
- Install NEW intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the pressure relief valve bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the throttle body adapter heater plate bolt and studs to 8 N·m
(71 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the purge solenoid bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the throttle body nuts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the accelerator cable bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Important: Do not reuse the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.
