HARSH RIDE W/SPORT SUSPENSION ADJUST TIRE PRESS. AS NOTED

SUBJECT: 1992 BONNEVILLE WITH F41 SPORT SUSPENSION OR W21 SE SPORT PACKAGE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 BONNEVILLE

In the event you receive a customer comment about a harsh ride in a a 1992 Bonneville with the W21 SE "Sport" Package or the F41 Sport Suspension, check the tire pressure. The recommended tire pressure is 30 PSi. If tire pressure is at the recommended specification, you can lower the pressure to 28 PSI. This will improve the ride.

Please advise the customer that this lower tire pressure may decrease fuel economy and increase tire wear.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
