SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SEC. 8A ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS (ECC)

SUBJECT: REVISED ELECTRONIC AIR CONDITIONING C68 CHART

MODELS/YEARS: 1992 EIGHTY EIGHT AND NINETY EIGHT

Wire leads connecting the Air Mix Valve Actuator to the HVAC Programmer were improperly identified as having a black insulation color on the "AIR CONDITIONING: AIR DELIVERY AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL" chart on page 8A-68-1 of the 1992 Eighty Eight Service Manual and page 8A-68-4 of the 1992 Ninety Eight Service Manual. The correct insulation color for each of these leads is white. Please note this correction in your copies of the appropriate service manuals.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
