Air Vacuum Bleed Valve AIR Bleed-Off Valve

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the right inner fender access cover.
  3. Disconnect the bleed-off valve electrical connector.
  4. Carefully remove the bleed-off valve vacuum connections.
  5. Remove the retaining bolt and the bleed-off valve from the pump.

Installation Procedure

Important: When replacing the AIR Bleed-off valve assembly and/or the AIR Pump Assembly, test the left and right AIR check valves for a stuck open condition. Failure to inspect the check valves may result in premature failure of the replacement part. For further information, refer to DTC P0410 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System .

  1. Install the bleed-off valve and the retaining bolt.
  2. Tighten:
    Torque the bolt to 6 - 8 N·m(70 lb in)

  3. Carefully install the bleed-off valve vacuum connections.
  4. Reconnect the bleed-off valve electrical connector.
  5. Install the right inner fender access cover.
  6. Lower the vehicle.

Air Vacuum Bleed Valve AIR Inline Check Valve

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the right inner fender access cover.
  3. Carefully remove the inline check valve from the vacuum hose connections.

Installation Procedure

  1. Carefully install the inline check valve in the vacuum hose connections.
  2. Install the right inner fender access cover.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
