SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - REVISED INTAKE PLENUM BOLT TORQUE

MODELS/YEARS: 1991 CUTLASS SUPREME WITH 3.1 L (VIN T) ENGINE

This bulletin updates the intake plenum bolt torque specification for the 1991 3.1 L (VIN T) engine used in the Cutlass Supreme. The current specification, found on pages 6E3-C2-9 and 6E3-C2-18 in DRIVEABILITY AND EMISSIONS (Section 6E3-C2), "Fuel Metering System," of the Service Manual is incorrect. The correct intake plenum bolt torque is 10.0 N.m (88 lb. in.). The intake plenum is shown in the illustration below.
