POWER ANTENNA RELAY REPLACE P/N'S AND INSTALLATION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1977-84 'A, G, B, C, D': 1979 - 84 'E, K'; 1981-82 'X' Series

When it becomes necessary to replace power antenna relays with Part Numbers 22510577, 556511 or 550893, a power antenna relay kit, Part No. 22524833 should be used. This kit contains a mini relay, Part No. 10030273, and adapter harness, and one four-way connector body. The relay kit replaces the original metal covered relays.

1. Remove the failed relay.

2. Remove the staggered 3-way connector body from the power antenna wiring by rleasing the secondary terminal locks and remove three (3) terminals and wires from the connector.

3. Install the above terminals into the four-way connector body, Part No. 8917542 (furnished with the jumper harness), as follows:

Cavity A - Dk. Green Cavity B - Gray Cavity C - White Cavity D - Blank

Close the secondary lock latch and inspect for proper terminal engagement.

4. Plug one end of the jumper harness into the new relay, Part No. 10030273 (2 connectors). Plug the other end into the IP harness and the converted power antenna lead..

5. Tape relay to IP harness in a horizontal or terminal down position so that it is rattle free.

6. Check power antenna operation.

NOTE: Future relay replacement, after kit installation, will only require replacementesent of the relay, Part No. 10030273, or equivalent.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Time Guide with a labour time of 0.3 hours.
