The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:

Correct location of the AC orifice tube

Recommendation/Instructions:

The expansion (orifice) tube is correctly located at inlet of the rear section of liquid line (hose and tube assembly) at center of right inner fender. The expansion (orifice) tube will not install correctly at evaporator inlet. The expansion (orifice) tube for a long wheel base vehicle with auxiliary rear HVAC is correctly located at inlet end of evaporator inlet pipe/hose assembly on right side of cowl/bulkhead behind engine coolant reservoir. The condenser outlet pipe for the long wheel base vehicles (w/ rear HVAC) becomes a "Y" pipe from which one side feeds the rear evaporator and the other side connects to the above mentioned evaporator inlet pipe/hose assembly.

.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
