Important:

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Entertainment System before using the Symptom Tables in orderto verify that all of the following are true:

•	There are no DTCs set.

•	The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.

Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself withthe system functions. Refer to:

•	Video Entertainment System Description and Operation

•	Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operationof the Entertainment System. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Wiring Systems.

•	Inspect for easily accessible or visible system components forobvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittentconditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in orderto diagnose the symptom:

•	Audio System Troubleshooting Hints

•	Radio Poor Reception

•	Radio Displays LOC, LOCKED, or CODE

•	Radio Displays CLN or CLEAN

•	Radio Displays CAL or CAL ERR

•	Tape Player Weak, Slow, or Garbled Output

•	Reduced Volume - One or More Speakers

•	Speakers Inoperative - One or More

•	Voice Recorder Inoperative

•	Video Entertainment System Troubleshooting Hints

•	Video Entertainment System Inoperative

•	Video Entertainment System Always On

•	Radio Audio Inoperative at Rear Seat Audio (RSA) Control
