Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 769572 Size: SH
  1. Remove the 2 left bolts (2) retaining the headlamp housing. Refer to Headlamp Housing Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the battery ventilation hose from the battery carrier.

    3. Object Number: 687551 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the horn assembly electrical connector.
  4. Remove the bolt that retains the horn assembly to the body.
  5. Remove the horn assembly from the body.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 687551 Size: SH
  1. Install the horn assembly to the body.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the bolt that retains the horn assembly to the body.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  3. Connect the horn assembly electrical connector.

  4. Install the battery ventilation hose to the battery carrier.
  5. Install the 2 left bolts (2) retaining the headlamp housing. Refer to Headlamp Housing Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
