Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  2. Remove both headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  3. Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 491882  Size: SH
  5. Remove the headlamp/fascia mounting panel stabilizer bars from the vehicle.

  6. Object Number: 491891  Size: SH
  7. Remove the headlamp/fascia mounting panel fasteners from the vehicle.

  8. Object Number: 491896  Size: SH
  9. Remove the headlamp/fascia mounting panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 491896  Size: SH
  1. Install the headlamp/fascia mounting panel to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 491891  Size: SH
  3. Install the headlamp/fascia mounting panel fasteners to the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the mounting fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the headlamp/fascia mounting panel stabilizer bars and fasteners to the vehicle.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Connect the hood release cable to the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement .
  8. Install both headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  9. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
