Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front engine mount. Refer to Engine Front Mount Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 665710  Size: SH
  3. Remove the two upper bolts securing the front engine mount bracket to the cylinder head.
  4. Remove the two nuts securing the front engine mount bracket to the engine block.
  5. Remove the bolt securing the brace to the transaxle.
  6. Remove the transaxle support brace.
  7. Remove the front engine mount bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 665710  Size: SH
  1. Position the front engine mount bracket to the engine.
  2. Loosely install the two upper bolts securing the front engine mount bracket to the cylinder head.
  3. Install the transaxle support brace.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Loosely install the transaxle support brace and the two lower front engine mount bracket nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts and bolts in the following sequence:

    4.1. Tighten the lower engine mount bracket nuts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).
    4.2. Tighten the transaxle support brace bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
    4.3. Tighten the two upper engine mount bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  7. Install the front engine mount. Refer to Engine Front Mount Replacement .
