Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 375350 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  3. Remove the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle
  4. Remove the 2 lower TORX® screws from the lower shroud.

  5. Remove the lower shroud:
    6. • Tilt down the shroud and slide back the shroud in order to disengage the locking tabs.
    • Remove the shroud protector.

  6. Remove the 2 TORX® head screws from the upper shroud.
  7. Remove the upper shroud.
  8. Remove the IP trim panel.

    9. Object Number: 375210 Size: SH
  9. Remove the 2 TORX® bolts from the multifunction switch.
  10. Disconnect the multifunction switch electrical connections.
  11. Remove the multifunction switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 375210 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the multifunction switch and the 2 TORX® bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX® bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Route the electrical harness and connect the electrical connections.
  3. Install the IP trim panel.

  4. Install the upper shroud and install the TORX® bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX® bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the lower shroud:
    6. • Ensure that the slots on the lower shroud engage with the tabs on the upper shroud.
    • Tilt up the lower shroud and snap the shrouds together.

  6. Install the 2 TORX® bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX® bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  7. Install steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  8. Install tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
