Removal Procedure

Notice: Do not damage the MAF sensor screen. A damaged screen could restrict airflow and lead to a driveability concern.

  1. Remove the Intake Air duct.

  2. Object Number: 19022 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the 3 MAF sensor mounting screws.
  5. Remove the MAF sensor.

Installation Procedure

Notice: The outlet of the air cleaner assembly and the MAF sensor inlet duct must line up when completely installed. Misalignment may cause incorrect airflow readings resulting in MIL illumination or a driveability concern. Improper installation of the inlet duct assembly or air cleaner assembly may cause misalignment.

    Object Number: 19022 Size: SH
  1. Install the MAF sensor assembly.
  2. Tighten
Tighten the MAF sensor assembly bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in). Refer to

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
