Removal Procedure

  1. Mark the location of the hinge on the door and on the hinge pillar.

  2. Object Number: 590994  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped, and pull the wiring from the vehicle through the conduit access hole.
  4. Support the door.

  5. Object Number: 585371  Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolts (1) securing the hinge (2) to the door.

  7. Object Number: 591012  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts securing the hinge to the hinge pillar (1,2).
  9. Remove the door hinge.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 591012  Size: SH
  1. Position the hinge to the marks on the hinge pillar.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts (1,2) attaching the hinge to the hinge pillar
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  5. Position the hinge (2) to the marks on the door.
  6. Install the bolts (1) attaching the hinge (2) to the door.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  8. Feed the door wiring through the hole in the door jamb and connect the electrical connector (if equipped).
  9. Install the wire harness conduit to the door jamb conduit access hole.
  10. Remove the door support and verify the alignment of the door.
