Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. For the front doors refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement . For the rear doors refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove enough of the door water deflector in order to access the door outside handle (1). Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 596025 Size: SH
  4. Remove the outside door handle rod (2) from the door lock actuator.
  5. Remove the door outside locking rod (1) from the door lock actuator.

    6. Object Number: 276381 Size: SH
  6. Remove the outside handle nut (3) and bracket.
  7. Guide the outside door handle (1) and rods (2) as an assembly through the handle access hole in the door.

    8. Object Number: 332792 Size: SH
  8. Remove the rods (3) from the handle assembly (1).
  9. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the assembly. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 332792 Size: SH
  1. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the handle assembly (1). Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  2. Install the rods (3) to the handle assembly (1).

    3. Object Number: 276381 Size: SH
  3. Guide the handle and rods as an assembly, through the door handle opening in the door.
  4. Install the outside door handle nut (3) and bracket.

    5. Object Number: 596025 Size: SH
  5. Install the door outside locking rod (1) to the door lock actuator.
  6. Install the outside door handle rod (2) to the door lock actuator.
  7. Install the door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the door trim panel. For front doors refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement . For rear doors refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Inspect the door lock system for proper operation.
