RETENTION OF FROM DOOR LOCK SWITCH (RPL. DOOR LOCK BEZEL)

SUBJECT: RETENTION OF FRONT DOOR LOCK SWITCH (REPLACE DOOR LOCK BEZEL)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992-93 OLDSMOBILE "N" MODELS

THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES AND REPLACES CORPORATE BULLETIN REFERENCE NUMBER 331012.- THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO INCLUDE THE 1992 MODEL YEAR

CONDITION:

Some owner's of 1992 and 1993 Oldsmobile "n" vehicles (built before VIN breakpoint PM016842) equipped with power door locks may comment on the front left and/or fight-hank lock switch assemblies becoming disengaged from the bezel when the switch is pressed.

CAUSE:

Lock switch retention legs on the switch bezel are too flexible to maintain pressure against lock switch when force is applied.

CORRECTION:

Replace door lock bezel with P/N 22588802 (RH) or 22588803 (LH) using the service procedure found in Section 10-6 of the 1993 service manual.

For vehicles repaired under warranty use:
