CREAK CONDITION, FRT. SEATS INSTALL NEW SPACER

SUBJECT: BUCKET FRONT SEAT CREAK CONDITION DUE TO SPACE BETWEEN PIVOT PIN AND BUSHING - INSTALL SPACER

MODEL/YEARS 1992 ACHIEVA W/AR9 OPTION

CONDITION: Some owners of 1992 Achieva models with AR9 front bucket seats may comment that when making a sharp right or left turn, a creaking noise from the driver seat, and front passenger seat (when occupied) may occur.

CAUSE: Excessive space between the inner front seatback pivot pin and the pivot bushing.

CORRECTION:

---------- 1. Put seatback in its most forward position.

2. From rear of seat, install spacer P/N 16743252 on pivot pin. This part is currently available from GMSPO.
