SUBJECT: SLOW HEATER WARM UP PERFORMANCE (INSTALL REVISED FLOOR AIR OUTLET ASSEMBLY)

SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TAKES THE HEATER TO WARM UP THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE.

CAUSE:

THE FLOOR AIR OUTLET ASSEMBLY MAY ALLOW HEATER DISCHARGE AIR TO GO ABOVE THE SOUND INSULATORS. THIS MAY BE KEEPING THE HEATED AIR FROM ENTERING THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.

CORRECTION:

A NEW FLOOR AIR OUTLET ASSEMBLY, P/N 22586002, WAS DESIGNED TO DIRECT AIR FLOW BELOW THE SOUND INSULATORS (FIGURE 1).
