Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2047669 Size: SH

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
  2. Pull the liftgate weatherstrip (2) from the liftgate opening pinch-weld flange (1).
  3. Remove the liftgate weatherstrip (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2047670 Size: SH

    Important: Do not stretch the liftgate weatherstrip during installation.

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Position the liftgate weatherstrip (2) over the liftgate opening pinch-weld flange (1).
  2. Press the liftgate weatherstrip (2) down onto the liftgate opening pinch-weld flange (1).
  3. Make sure that the liftgate weatherstrip (2) is secured properly to the entire pinch-weld flange (1).
  4. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
