Makes 🢒 Holden 🢒 2009 🢒 WM Sedan 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L 🢒 Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Remove the oil filter adapter (1).

    2. Object Number: 1954211 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil pan baffle to oil pan retaining bolts (1).
  3. Remove the oil pan baffle (2).
  4. Clean the oil pan in solvent.

    5. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Dry the oil pan with compressed air.
  6. Inspect the oil pan for the following conditions:
    7. • Damaged gasket surfaces.
    • Restrictions within the oil passages of the pan.
    • Threaded bolt holes for damage.
  7. Inspect the oil transfer tube for restrictions or damage.

    8. Object Number: 1954211 Size: SH
  8. Install the oil pan baffle (2).
  9. Install the oil pan baffle to oil pan retaining bolts (1).

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  10. Install the oil filter adapter (1) Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation.
