Water Pump Removal L98, LS2

  1. Remove drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Air Conditioning and Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Accessory.

    2. Object Number: 1957840 Size: SH
  2. Remove the water pump to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

    3. Important: Use of a soft peen hammer will aid in the removal of the water pump (2).

  3. Remove the water pump (2).

    Object Number: 1704622 Size: SH
  1. Remove the water pump bolts (3).
  2. Remove the water pump (1) and gaskets (2).
  3. Discard the water pump gaskets.
