Makes 🢒 Holden 🢒 2008 🢒 WM Sedan 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.

    2. Object Number: 1957981 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket to cylinder head retaining bolt (2).
  3. Remove the oil level indicator (1) from the oil level indicator tube (3).

    4. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  5. Remove the knock sensor. Refer to Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2.
  6. Lower the vehicle.

    7. Object Number: 1957983 Size: SH
  7. Remove the oil level indicator tube (1) up through the exhaust manifold (2).
  8. If you are replacing only the oil level indicator tube seal, remove and discard the old seal.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the oil level indicator and tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation.

    2. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Install the knock sensor. Refer to Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
