Makes 🢒 Holden 🢒 2008 🢒 WM Sedan 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the Engine Splash Shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1958141 Size: SH
  3. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the engine oil level switch electrical connector (2).
  5. Remove the engine oil level switch to oil pan retaining bolt (4).
  6. Remove the engine oil level switch (3) from the oil pan (1).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1958141 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil level switch (2) to the oil pan (3).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil level switch bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the engine oil level switch electrical connector (1).
  3. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  6. Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
