Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement LHD

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1940009  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the wiper arms (2) DO NOT interfere with the hood (3) while being moved away from the windshield (1).

  1. Lift the wiper arms (2) away from the windshield (1) to the upright position.

  2. Object Number: 1940005  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the wiper arms (1) remain at rest and DO NOT spring back onto the windscreen.

  3. Press in the wiper arm blade side clip (2) and unclip the wiper arm blade (3).
  4. Remove the wiper arm blade (3) from the wiper arm (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1940007  Size: SH
  1. Clip the wiper arm blade connector (1) onto the wiper arm (2). Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.

  2. Object Number: 1940011  Size: SH
  3. Move the wiper arms (1) back to the parked position.
  4. Test the windshield wipers and washers for correct operation.

Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement RHD

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1940015  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.

  1. Open the Bonnet
  2. Remove the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut covers (2).
  3. Remove the wiper arm to air inlet grille washer hose connectors (3).
  4. Remove the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nuts (1).

    Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.

  6. Close the Bonnet
  7. Lift the wiper arms (1) away from the windshield to the upright position.
  8. Remove the LHS wiper arm (4) from the wiper pivot stud.

  9. Object Number: 2008615  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the RHS wiper arm does not interfere with the bonnet otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.

    Important: The RHS wiper should be in the vertical position and away from the windshield as shown.

  10. Pull the right hand side wiper arm (1) away from the spline
  11. Rotate the RHS wiper arm (1) so the bonnet can be opened without hitting the wiper.
  12. Open the bonnet.
  13. Manoeuvre the RHS wiper arm (1) off the wiper pivot stud and off the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2008615  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the RHS wiper arm does not interfere with the bonnet otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.

    Important: The RHS wiper should be in the vertical position and away from the windshield as shown.

  1. Install the RHS wiper arm (1) onto the wiper pivot stud.
  2. Install the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (2).
  3. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

  4. Close the bonnet

    Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.

  6. Install the LHS wiper arm (1) to the wiper pivot stud.
  7. Install the LHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (2).
  8. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

  9. Lower the wiper arms (1) toward the windshield to the lowered position.

  10. Object Number: 2008617  Size: SH

    Important: When installing the wiper arm, ensure the installation measurements are adhered to otherwise fouling of the inlet panel may occur.

  11. Align the wiper arm blades to the inlet panel using the following measurements :
  12. • Point ' A' 59 mm
    • Point ' B' 29 mm

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  13. Tighten the LHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (1).
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  15. Open the bonnet.
  16. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  17. Tighten the RHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (1).
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  19. Install the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut covers.
  20. Connect the wiper arm (3) to the air inlet grille washer hose connectors (4).
  21. Close the bonnet.
  22. Check the windshield wipers for correct operation.
