Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 2017812  Size: SH

    Important: Lift the auxiliary battery box (2) upward and over the battery bracket retaining posts (1).

  3. Remove the auxiliary battery box (2).

  4. Object Number: 2017813  Size: SH

    Important: The auxiliary battery tray is retained with micro-encapsulated nuts.

    Important: Nuts with micro-encapsulated thread sealant must be discarded after removal.

  5. Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining bolt (1).
  6. Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining nut and bolts (3).
  7. Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2017813  Size: SH
  1. Install the battery tray assembly (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the auxiliary battery tray assembly (2) retaining bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9  N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining nut and bolts (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut and bolts to 9  N·m (80 lb in).

    Important: Make sure the battery bracket retaining post's (1) are correctly secure under the battery tray assembly.

  7. Install the auxiliary battery box (2).
  8. Install the auxiliary battery. Refer to Auxiliary Battery Replacement.
