Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1962544 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable and then disconnect the battery positive cable.
  2. Loosen the nuts that fasten the battery hold-down bar bracket.
  3. Remove the battery hold-down bar bracket with the nuts attached.
  4. Remove the battery from the battery tray.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1962544 Size: SH
  1. Install the battery.
  2. Install the battery hold-down bar bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the battery hold-down bar bracket retaining nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Connect the positive battery cable.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
