Clutch Pedal Replacement RHD

Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  4. Object Number: 1950988  Size: SH

    Important: Do not fully remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (5) from the clutch master cylinder (4).

  5. Release the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (5) from the clutch master cylinder (4).
  6. Disconnect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) from the clutch master cylinder (4).
  7. Important: Ensure the rubber seal is attached to the reservoir (not on the master cylinder).

  8. Pull the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose (2) from the clutch master cylinder (4).
  9. Remove the clutch pedal to mod plate retaining nuts (3).
  10. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  11. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement .

  12. Object Number: 1950985  Size: SH
  13. Disconnect the clutch pedal wiring harness (1) from the cockpit wiring harness (2).
  14. Remove the clutch pedal to instrument panel crossmember retaining bolts (3).
  15. Lower and remove the clutch pedal assembly (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1950985  Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch pedal assembly (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1950988  Size: SH
  3. Install the clutch pedal to mod plate retaining nuts (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 22  N·m (16 lb ft).

    Important: Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.

  5. Push fit the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) to the clutch master cylinder (4).
  6. Connect the clutch pedal wiring harness (1) to the cockpit wiring harness (2).
  7. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement .
  8. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  9. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  10. Install the clutch pedal to instrument panel crossmember upper retaining bolts (3).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 22  N·m (16 lb ft).

  12. Connect the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose (2), by firmly pushing it on to the clutch master cylinder (4).
  13. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
  14. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  15. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  16. Road test vehicle for correct clutch operation.
