The rear compartment lid can be released by operating the rear compartment lid release switch (1) or pressing the rear compartment release button on the key fob. The transmission must be in the PARK position for the rear compartment lid to release.

When a request to open the rear compartment lid is requested by either the rear compartment lid release switch or the key fob button, the Body Control Module (BCM) activates the rear compartment lid release relay which allows the rear compartment lid latch assembly motor (3) to operate and release the rear compartment lid.

Fuel Filler Door Release

The fuel filler door can be released by operating the unlock button on the key fob. The transmission must be in the PARK position for the fuel filler door to release.

When a request to open the fuel filler door is requested by the unlock button on the key fob (1), the Body Control Module (BCM) activates the fuel filler door release relay which allows the fuel filler door actuator (4) to operate and release the fuel filler door (3).
