Removal Procedure

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement.
  3. Remove the load floor stationary panel carpet. Refer to Load Floor Stationary Panel Carpet Replacement.

  4. Object Number: 2048213  Size: SH
  5. Remove the cargo tie down loop bolt caps (1) from the cargo tie down loop assemblies (3).
  6. Remove the cargo tie down loop assembly to body retaining bolts (2).

  7. Object Number: 2048211  Size: SH
  8. Fold the rear seat backs (1) down exposing the load floor front panel carpet (2).
  9. Carefully disengage the load floor front panel carpet to body retaining clips (3).
  10. Remove the load floor front panel carpet (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2048211  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure front of load floor front panel carpet locates under the rear seats.

  1. Position the load floor front panel carpet (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Push down on the load floor front panel carpet (2) to engage the load floor front panel carpet to body retaining clips (3).
  3. Fold the rear seat backs (1) to the up position.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the cargo tie down loop assembly to body retaining bolts (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft )

  7. Install the cargo tie down loop bolt caps (1) to the cargo tie down loop assemblies (3).
  8. Install load floor stationary panel carpet. Refer to Load Floor Stationary Panel Carpet Replacement.
  9. Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement.
  10. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
