Inspect the steering column mounting bolts for looseness.

Are the steering column mounting bolts loose?

Verify that the steering column mounting bracket capsule is not sheared.

Is the steering column bracket mounting capsule sheared?

Inspect the upper and lower tilt head pivots for wear or damage.

Are the upper or lower tilt head pivots worn or damaged?

Inspect the intermediate shaft universal joints for wear or damage

Inspect the steering shaft bearings for wear or damage.
