Tools Required

EN 46114 Engine Lift Brackets.

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .



3. Remove the lower engine mount retaining nuts (1).
4. Lower the vehicle.



5. Position the EN 46114 (2) on the engine (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

6. Install the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (36 lb ft).

Important: Use a suitable tool to raise the engine.

Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.

7. Raise the engine until the weight of the engine is removed from the right hand engine mount.



8. Remove the right hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (5).

Important: If required raise the engine further to provide adequate space.

Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.

9. Remove the right hand engine mount (3) from the right hand engine mount bracket (1).

Important: DO NOT distort or bend the right hand engine mount heat shield (4).

10. Remove the right hand engine mount bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (2).
11. Remove the right hand engine mount bracket (1).

Important: DO NOT distort or bend the right hand engine mount heat shield (4).

1. Install the right hand engine mount bracket (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the right hand engine mount bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

3. Position the right hand engine mount (3) on the right hand engine mount bracket (1).
4. Install the right hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (5).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

5. Lower the engine until the weight is resting on the right hand engine mount.

6. Raise the vehicle.



7. Install the engine mount to front subframe retaining nut (1).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

8. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
9. Lower the vehicle to the ground.



10. Remove the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).
11. Remove the EN 46114  (2) from the engine (1).
