Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side, Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side.

    3. Object Number: 1949684 Size: SH
  3. Remove the front exhaust foil heat shield to body retaining bolts (2).
  4. Remove the front exhaust foil heat shield (1).

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the front exhaust foil heat shield (1).

    2. Object Number: 1949684 Size: SH

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the front exhaust foil heat shield to body retaining bolts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side, Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side.
  4. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
