Fuel Injector Replacement LPG

Caution: Refer to General Repair Instructions in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief in the Preface section.

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief.



2. Disconnect the LPG injector electrical connectors (1).




Important: The hose clamps (1) require special pliers to remove and fit.

3. Remove the hose clamps (1) from the LPG injector hoses.

Discard the clamps

4. Disconnect the LPG injector hoses from the fuel rail.



5. Remove the LPG injector to fuel rail retaining nuts (3).
6. Remove the LPG injectors (1) from the fuel rail (2).



7. Remove the O-rings (1) from the LPG injector (2).

Discard the O-rings.

1. Install the NEW O-rings (1) to the NEW LPG injector (2).



2. Position the NEW LPG injector (1) to the fuel rail (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the NEW LPG injector to fuel rail retaining nuts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 5  N·m (44  lb in).





Important: The hose clamps (1) require special pliers to remove and fit.

4. Secure the NEW LPG injector hose clamps (1).



5. Install the LPG injector electrical connectors (1).
6. Start the vehicle and inspect for LPG fuel leaks at the serviced fitting's using the combustible gas detector or an equivalent liquid leak detector.
