Makes 🢒 Holden 🢒 2008 🢒 Lumina Ute 🢒 Diagnostic Navigation 🢒 Vehicle Diagnostic Information 🢒 Ignition and Start Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

    2. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Disabling the SIR in SIR.
  3. Remove the Steering Column Trim Covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1959842 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector (1).
  5. Remove the ignition switch to steering column assembly retaining screws (3).
  6. Remove the ignition switch (4) from the steering column assembly (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1959842 Size: SH

    Important: The ignition switch groove must be correctly aligned with the ignition lock cylinder tongue.

  1. Install the ignition switch (4) to the steering column assembly (2).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ignition switch to steering column assembly retaining screws (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector (1).
  4. Install the Steering Column Trim Covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  5. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Disabling the SIR in SIR.
