For 1990-2009 cars only
- Replace the exhaust manifold gaskets with new ones.
- Install the exhaust manifolds.
- Install the exhaust manifold heat shields.
- Connect the oxygen sensor connectors.
- Replace the catalytic converter gasket with a new one.
- Install the front exhaust pipe.
- Replace the pup converter gasket with a new one.
- Install the front exhaust pipe nuts.
- Install the front exhaust pipe lower bracket.
- Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold retaining nits to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 20 N·m (22 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the front exhaust pipe-to-front muffler nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the front exhaust pipe nuts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the front exhaust pipe lower bracket bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
