Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1758476 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1795331 Size: SH
  3. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise to reduce the belt tension.
  4. While holding the tensioner in the reduced tension position, disconnect the belt.

    5. Object Number: 1795344 Size: SH
  5. Loosen the accessory drive belt idler pulley-to-generator through bolt.
  6. Carefully support the generator and remove the generator upper mounting bolts to ease the removal of the through bolt.
  7. Remove the accessory drive bolt idler pulley-to-generator through bolt.
  8. Remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1795344 Size: SH
  1. Carefully support the generator and install the accessory drive belt idler pulley.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the accessory drive belt idler pulley-to-generator through bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Install the generator upper mounting bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the generator upper mounting bolt to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  3. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.
  4. While holding the tensioner in the reduced tension position, install the belt.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
