Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the engine front shield at the position of right front wheel. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
  4. Install a suitable tool to the drive belt tensioner.
  5. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise in order to relieve the belt tension.
  6. Remove the drive belt.
  7. Clean and inspect the belt and the mating surfaces of all the pulleys.

Installation Procedure

  1. Route the belt around all the pulleys.
  2. Install a suitable tool to the drive belt tensioner.
  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise in order to relieve tension on the tensioner.
  4. Install the drive belt.
  5. Inspect the drive belt for proper installation and alignment.
