Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1764619 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Disconnect the brake pipe from the brake hose.
  3. Remove the brake hose retainer and remove the brake hose from the bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1764620 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear brake hose from the rear upper control arm.

    5. Object Number: 1764623 Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear brake hose from the caliper.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1764623 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear brake hose to the caliper.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear brake hose-to-caliper bolt to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).

  2. Install the rear brake hose to the rear upper control arm.

    3. Object Number: 1764619 Size: SH
  3. Connect the rear brake pipe to the brake hose and install the hose retainer.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipe line to fittings 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
  6. Check the brake system for leaks.
