Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1758465 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
  3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air cleaner outlet hose from the resonator.

    4. Object Number: 1758512 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the clamp and remove the resonator from the electronic throttle body.

    5. Object Number: 1760888 Size: SH
  5. Remove the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor connector.

    7. Object Number: 1760889 Size: SH
  7. Remove the MAP sensor retaining bolt.
  8. Remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1760889 Size: SH
  1. Install the MAP sensor to the intake manifold.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the MAP sensor retaining bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the MAP sensor retaining bolt to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Install the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement .
  4. Connect the MAP sensor connector.
  5. Install the resonator to the electronic throttle body.
  6. Connect the air cleaner outlet hose to the resonator.
  7. Connect the IAT sensor connector.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
