Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1291365  Size: SH
  1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement
  2. Remove the camshaft gears. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement
  3. Remove the crankshaft gear.
  4. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner bolts.
  5. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner.

  7. Remove the timing belt idler pulley bolt.
  8. Remove the timing belt idler pulley.

  9. Object Number: 1371925  Size: SH
  10. Remove the rear timing belt cover bolts.
  11. Remove the rear timing belt cover.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1371925  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear timing belt cover.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the rear timing belt cover bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear timing belt cover bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the timing belt idler pulley.
  6. Install the timing belt idler pulley bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the timing belt idler pulley bolt to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  8. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner.
  9. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the timing belt automatic tensioner bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Install the crankshaft gear.
  12. Note: Take extreme care to prevent any scratches, nicks or damage to the camshafts.

  13. Install the camshaft gears. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement
  14. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement
