The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2008 Chevrolet Tahoes and GMC Yukon vehicle's equipped with the Hybrid Powertain may have left the factory with the incorrect upper radiator inlet hose. During PDI inspection, please locate the upper radiator inlet hose and inspect for a plastic holding clamp in the middle of the radiator hose. ( As shown in the photo below )
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the vehicle inspected has a holding clamp in the middle of the radiator hose as shown in the photo above, the incorrect inlet radiator hose has been installed and will have to be replaced with the correct hybrid inlet radiator hose part number: 25880389.
If the radiator hose doesn't have a clamp in the middle as shown in the photo below, there is no further action required.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
