Door Replacement Side Access

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door and remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (if equipped) and pull the harness through the access hole.

  4. Object Number: 348484  Size: SH
  5. Remove the body side check strap bolts.
  6. Remove the window glass. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement .
  7. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  8. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .

  9. Object Number: 622406  Size: SH
  10. Remove the hinge pin retainers and lift the door up off the hinge pins.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 622406  Size: SH
  1. Install the door on to the hinge pins and install the hinge pin retainers.

  2. Object Number: 348484  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the body side check strap bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 in lb).

  5. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  6. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  7. Install the window glass. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement .
  8. Feed the wire harness through the access hole (if equipped) and connect the electrical connectors.
  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Trim Panel Replacement .
