Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement 60/40 Split - 50/50 Split

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear passenger seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement , Rear Number 2 Seat Replacement or Rear Number 2 50-50 Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 276675  Size: MH
  3. Remove the rear passenger seat riser.
  4. Remove the seat cushion plastic cover from the seat cushion frame.
  5. Remove the hog rings and/or the J-clips from the rear edge of the seat cushion cover (3).
  6. Disconnect the rear heater connector, if equipped.
  7. Remove the seat belt buckles, if required. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Buckle Replacement or Rear Seat Number 2 Belt Buckle Replacement in Seat Belts.
  8. Remove all of the remaining hog rings, and/or the J-clips that are retaining the seat cushion cover (3) to the seat cushion frame (8).
  9. Release the hook, and the loop-strips that are retaining the seat cushion cover to the foam pad (4).
  10. Remove the center screw retaining the latch cover.
  11. Remove the seat cushion cover from the foam pad.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat cushion cover to the foam pad.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the center screw retaining the latch cover.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Engage the hook, and the loop-strips that are retaining the seat cushion cover (3) to the foam pad (4).
  6. Install the seat buckles, if removed. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Buckle Replacement or Rear Seat Number 2 Belt Buckle Replacement in Seat Belts.
  7. Connect the rear heater connector, if equipped.
  8. Install the hog rings, and/or the J-clips in order to retain the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion frame (8).
  9. Install the seat cushion plastic cover to the seat cushion frame.
  10. Install the rear passenger seat risers.
  11. Install the rear passenger seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement , Rear Number 2 Seat Replacement or Rear Number 2 50-50 Seat Replacement .

Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement Bench

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Number 2 Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the J-Clips from the back of the seat.
  3. Remove the bolts (2) from the grab handle (1).

  4. Object Number: 841644  Size: SH
  5. Remove the support rod (1) from the bottom of the seat.

  6. Object Number: 841650  Size: SH
  7. Loosen the bolts (1) on the roller assembly (2) but do not remove.
  8. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat frame.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the seat cushion cover and pad to the seat frame.
  2. Install the bolts (1) on the roller assembly (2).
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 53 N·m (39 lb ft).

  4. Install the support rod (1) to the bottom of the seat.

  5. Object Number: 841638  Size: SH
  6. Install the bolts (2) to the grab handle (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  8. Install the J-Clips on the back of the seat.
  9. Install the rear seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Number 2 Seat Replacement .
