Radio Rear Quarter Trim Panel Speaker Replacement Subwoofer

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 616368  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts which retain the subwoofer assembly to the vehicle.

  4. Object Number: 616366  Size: SH
  5. Remove the subwoofer assembly from the vehicle.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Separate the halves of the subwoofer assembly. Disengage the retainers using a flat bladed tool.
  8. Remove the speaker from the subwoofer assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the speaker to the subwoofer assembly.
  2. Assemble the halves of the subwoofer assembly. Engage the retainers.

  3. Object Number: 616366  Size: SH
  4. Install the subwoofer assembly to the vehicle.
  5. Connect the electrical connections.

  6. Object Number: 616368  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the bolts which retain the subwoofer assembly to the vehicle.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

Radio Rear Quarter Trim Panel Speaker Replacement Bose Subwoofer

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear quarter panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear amplifier, if installed on top of the subwoofer. Refer to Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 756161  Size: SH
  4. Remove the subwoofer retaining bolts (1).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the subwoofer from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the subwoofer to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   3. Install the subwoofer retaining bolts (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9.0 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector.
  6. Install the rear amplifier, if removed from the top of the subwoofer. Refer to Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement .
  7. Install the rear quarter panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
