Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 348540  Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the reinforcement panel.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.

  6. Object Number: 348543  Size: SH
  7. Remove the 2 bolts from the wiper transmission assembly.
  8. Remove the wiper transmission assembly from the vehicle.

  9. Object Number: 306506  Size: SH
  10. Remove the drive link from the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39232 .

  11. Object Number: 513716  Size: SH
  12. Remove the 2 bolts retaining the wiper motor.
  13. Remove the wiper motor from the wiper transmission assembly.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 513716  Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper motor onto the wiper transmission assembly with the 2 bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39529 .

  4. Object Number: 348543  Size: SH
  5. Install the wiper transmission assembly on the vehicle with the 2 bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor .

  8. Object Number: 348540  Size: SH
  9. Install the reinforcement panel with the 4 bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  11. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  12. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  13. Operate the wipers and inspect for proper operation.
