Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 799001  Size: SH
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
  2. Remove the screws (1) retaining the speaker to the mounting bracket.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker.
  4. Remove the speaker from the mounting bracket.
  5. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the speaker mounting bracket to the door, if required.
  6. Remove the speaker mounting bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 799001  Size: SH
  1. Install the speaker mounting bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts (2) retaining the speaker mounting bracket to the door, if removed.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the speaker to the mounting bracket.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the speaker.
  7. Install the screws (1) that retain the speaker to the mounting bracket.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (53 lb in).

  9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
  10. Verify the component operation.
