Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 766591  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (2) that secure the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) (1) to the mounting bracket (3).

  4. Object Number: 787326  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure accumulator switch.

  6. Object Number: 787327  Size: SH
  7. Position the BPMV to be able to remove the pressure accumulator switch.
  8. Remove the pressure accumulator switch from the BPMV.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the pressure accumulator switch to the BPMV.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure accumulator switch to 3 N·m (30 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the pressure accumulator switch.

  4. Object Number: 766591  Size: SH
  5. Install the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) (1) and the bolts (2) to the mounting bracket (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (7 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
