The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may experience one of the following conditions
- Power liftgate is inoperative at times
- "Rear Access Open "Message Displayed on DIC
- Rear liftgate will not fully latch in the primary position.
The customer may also notice that the concern will go away after opening and closing the liftgate. When going through diagnosis, you may also notice a history code B2495 set in the Power Liftgate Module (PLGM).
Recommendation/Instructions:
If after normal diagnosis, and the concern can not be recognized, Please do not replace any parts for this concern. Engineering has found a software concern with the Liftgate module. SPS program the Liftgate module with the latest software available in TIS to Web
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
