J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket


    Object Number: 1310000  Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil pressure sensor using J 41712  (1).

  2. Object Number: 471118  Size: SH
  3. Remove the camshaft rear bearing hole plug:
  4. 2.1. Obtain a suitable self-threading screw.
    2.2. Drill a hole into the plug.
    2.3. Install the self-threading screw.
    2.4. Pull on the screw until the plug is removed from the bore.

            Important: Use care not to damage the camshaft bearings.

    2.5. An alternate method to remove the plug would be to insert a long shaft or bar through the front of the engine and drive the plug from the bore.

  5. Remove the left side knock sensor heat shield bolts.
  6. Remove the left side knock sensor heat shield.

  7. Object Number: 471081  Size: SH
  8. Remove the left side knock sensor.

  9. Object Number: 1310044  Size: SH
  10. Remove the right side knock sensor heat shield (720) and bolts (721).
  11. Remove the right side knock sensor (719).

  12. Object Number: 471126  Size: SH
  13. Remove the engine block oil cooler hose fittings.

  14. Object Number: 471134  Size: SH
  15. Remove the rear oil gallery plugs.

  16. Object Number: 471133  Size: SH
  17. Remove the front oil gallery plugs.

  18. Object Number: 471138  Size: SH
  19. Remove the left side oil gallery plug.

  20. Object Number: 471137  Size: SH
  21. Remove the top oil gallery plugs.

  22. Object Number: 635657  Size: SH
  23. Remove the engine block coolant drain hole plug.

  24. Object Number: 635660  Size: SH
  25. Remove the engine block coolant heater, if equipped.
