Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Trim Plate Replacement .
  3. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the instrument panel passenger knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  5. Remove the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  6. Remove the instrument panel assist handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assist Handle Replacement .

  7. Object Number: 823126  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts that retain the instrument panel upper trim pad to the instrument panel carrier.
  9. Remove the nuts that retain the left outside duct to the instrument panel upper trim pad.
  10. Remove the instrument panel upper trim pad from the instrument panel carrier.
  11. Remove the instrument panel upper trim pad from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 823126  Size: SH
  1. Install the instrument panel upper trim pad to the vehicle.
  2. Position the instrument panel upper trim pad to the instrument panel carrier.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolts that retain the instrument panel upper trim pad to the instrument panel carrier.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the nuts that retain the air duct to the instrument panel upper trim pad.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the instrument panel assist handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assist Handle Replacement .
  9. Install the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  10. Install the instrument panel passenger knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  11. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Trim Plate Replacement .
  13. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
